Who can be a Master racer?

Both males and females can be Masters (the alternative Mistress never caught on for some reason).

Minimum age 30 years - no maximum age.  We keep going until the 'Ultima Salita'.
Different races have a number of age categories within this range (5 year groupings) to make the racing realistic and competitive.

Minimum ability level - should be able to negotiate a slalom course (telephone James Rothnie or other established Masters for a quantitative measure of ability in terms of times). Sometimes we run a dry slope training day in England and this is a good opportunity to gauge your ability.

The existence of dry slope and snow races means a choice of entry level. There is even a training week prior to the British Masters Championships at Megeve (France).
